Hi, I’m Shelby. I’m a Marriage and Family Therapy intern who enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan. Before beginning my journey as a therapist, I spent 16 years in education as a special education teacher and administrator, where I had the opportunity to work closely with children and families with a wide range of needs and experiences.
I believe our relationships and life experiences shape how we see ourselves and interact with the world around us. In therapy, I strive to create a warm, supportive space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, exploring what’s happening in your life, and working toward meaningful change.
My approach is collaborative and relational, and I tailor our work to the needs of each person, couple, or family. I enjoy helping clients better understand patterns, navigate difficult emotions and experiences, strengthen relationships, and recognize the strengths they already bring with them. I work with concerns including anxiety, ADHD, behavioral challenges, life transitions, relationship concerns, parenting struggles, and family conflict.
I am currently completing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy through National University.
