Pregnancy and Postpartum Depression & Anxiety Groups

Who: These groups are provided to any woman who is experiencing depression and/or an anxiety disorder during pregnancy or the postpartum period (from birth to 1 year).

What: These are therapeutic groups that use cognitive-behavioral and supportive strategies to add common concerns that arise during pregnancy and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders.

When: These groups will be run on an ongoing basis. The pregnancy group will run every Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 am and the postpartum group will run Thursdays from 10:30-11:30 am. These groups will begin once 3 or more members have registered and will run for 6 weeks. A new group will begin once the previous group has ended and there are 3 or more individuals registered. Please contact me for the next group start date.

Where: These groups will be held at my office, located at 610 J St, Ste 300, Lincoln. If you are interested in a group, but would prefer a virtual option, please let me know.

Why: Research shows cognitive behavioral therapy is beneficial to perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. In addition, group therapy can provide support, validate and normalize your feelings and experiences and reduce feelings of isolation.
