Jamie Heng, LIMHP

Meet the Founder

I founded this practice with a simple belief: everyone has a story worth telling.

My journey into counseling began with a deep love for understanding people, their unique experiences, their struggles, and the moments that have shaped who they are today. I’ve always been drawn to the complexity of human stories, and feel honored to walk alongside individuals as they explore their past, gain insight, and work toward the changes they want to see in their lives.

As the practice has grown, so has my passion for supporting the next generation of counselors. One of the most fulfilling parts of my role now is fostering the development of new clinicians, empowering them to discover who they are as professionals, strengthen their clinical voice, and continue providing the empathetic, thoughtful care our clients deserve.

At the heart of our practice is a commitment to genuine, compassionate connection, both with our clients and within our clinical team. I’m proud to lead a group of counselors who share a deep respect for the therapeutic relationship and a dedication to helping people feel seen, heard, and supported.

What Jamie's clients have to say

"So so validating and I just feel heard".

"I have loved my time over the last couple of years coming to New Outlook Counseling and having Jamie as my therapist. She is wonderful and I always feel comfortable being honest with her. She makes the place and session feel safe and inviting".

"Jamie always listens and provides a different approach. She always has suggestions/things for me to try that I can apply to my life ASAP".

"She listens well, has resources and action steps to help with interpersonal issues"

"Jamie always listens, provides good insights and different perspectives to the topics I bring up. Sometimes I just need to air my grievances and feelings with someone who will not judge while giving me ideas on how to handle similar situations in the future. I always feel better leaving my sessions and this one definitely made me feel better afterwards".

"Jamie always gets to the depth of a matter that’s bothering me".

"I’m grateful that we found her and I feel I can trust her to help us dissect our family dynamics and give us new tools to be better for each other."

"Therapy is a helpful way to work through issues going on in your mind that you are not or don't feel comfortable discussing with family and/or friends.  Find a counselor you feel sees you and hears you.  Jamie does a great job of both!"

"Jamie truly has made such an impact on my life and making it better in moving forward".

"Being in a new stage of life can be a lot and you sometimes just need someone that isn't your partner or a friend to listen and give perspective. Jamie does an amazing job at this".
