Jessica Anderson, PLMHP

I understand that life is hard, and sometimes it can be too much to handle on your own. Finding peace and feeling good about yourself is something that everyone deserves. I offer a safe, confidential space for you to navigate your feelings and experiences without judgement.  

As a practitioner, I have experience working with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma and stress related disorders including PTSD, grief, relationships, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, personality disorders, Bi-polar and related disorders, adjustment disorder, neurodevelopmental disorders, and somatic and related disorders. With one year of clinical experience, I hold a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology and have my PLMHP license. I also have 13 years’ experience teaching at the high school level with my endorsement in Family Consumer Sciences. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults who are experiencing different types of life transitions, changes, and challenges. A passion of mine is working towards social justice and fighting for equality. I also specialize in working with the BIPOC community and person’s experiencing discrimination and oppression.

My therapeutic approach utilizes interdisciplinary and holistic intervention strategies, including Person Centered therapy (PC), Gestalt therapy, and Feminist theory, as well as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT).
