Change what you can, and manage what you can’t change” – Raymond McCauley
Finding a therapist can be a daunting process so congratulations on taking the first step! I believe a therapeutic relationship must be free of judgement and based in compassion and empathy. I use a person-centered approach to therapy, meaning I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and I am there to meet you where you are at. Even if we experience similar life situations, no two lives are the same. I engage each individual in a manner that allows them to be their authentic selves in a safe and empowering environment. I believe insight, reflection, and personal awareness are powerful tools for understanding ourselves better and changing our lives.
I have several years of experience in crisis work and use different therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). In addition to my work with individuals, I help couples work through their miscommunications and conflicts to help gain understanding and respect for each other.
I am a LIMHP and LADC and work with anxiety, depression, ADHD, narcissistic abuse, substance use disorders, and couples.
